Matching KAL Pillow? Let's get creative.....

Postby Shandeh » Mon May 21, 2012 2:17 pm

I've noticed several people asking if there is a Bernat pattern for a matching pillow, to go with our Waverly Mystery Blankets. Unfortunately, no Bernat designs are available right now.

So, I would love to see what all of you can come up with!

There are so many amazing, creative, super knitters in our group. I'm sure that some of you can make some lovely pillows, that we can use as a model.

I'm thinking that we could make pillows, using one of the clues from the mystery blanket as the front of a pillow, and another clue as the back of the pillow. That way, we could flip it over, for a change of pace.

Have any of you already made some matching pillows for your blanket?

grandmasue and I are making a pillow from clue number three. I have made a pattern for the increasing part of the pillow. It's under this thread: viewtopic.php?f=191&t=531&start=380

Zhanie,
I am still working on the border of my afghan, sorry to say. Had pneumonia when KAL first started so am a late comer but I do plan on trying the pillow pattern you posted. Love the way yours is coming out, I have to finish borders before I start in order to see how much yarn I have left and what colors I will have enough of.
Will keep posted.

I'm sorry you have been ill, I am here knitting a cable blanket and not progressing much on my pillow, so we can make it together when you are feeling better and finished your border :)

I saw it :) I have been trying to catch up with you today. Perhaps if you can tell me perhaps the last fifteen or so stitches from your last row, I can tell you what I think will work for the decrease. :knit:

I didn't find any pillows. What has everyone done with their leftovers?

I'm going to put my afghan on my couch and was just thinking that I'd like to make some matching arm covers for the couch and 2 recliners. Would also love to find something to put on the leg rests of the recliners as they get soiled so easily. Suggestions anyone?
