My hubby says I pay more attention to new yarn than I do him. I try to explain that new yarn is only new once...I've got him for the rest of our natural lives

I don't know that I've been this excited about yarn! I check the tracking on my package every few hours, it just doesn't seem to be getting any closer!
This will be the first time I've taken on a big project and reading the posts here and on facebook, I cant wait to get started. Come on Feb 15! :D

Hi,

My Waverly yarn arrived on Monday! I chose the Town and Country palette colors: Antique, Stone Brown, Classic Navy, Tibetan Red and Gypsy Gold. The yarn is so soft and squooshy! It will be wonderful to cuddle up in the Mystery afghan when it is done. Are you sure the clues couldn't start on February 1st???? I'm so anxious to begin! ;)

Hi Lotty!

There are a few ways to post a photo here in the Bernat Forum.

#1 - If you have the photo on your computer, you can scroll down below the message posting area, where you will see a teal blue square. There are two tabs at the top of that square. The first one says "Options", and the second one says "Upload attachment". Click the "Upload attachment" tab to open it up.

Now, the teal box will look different, and you can click the "Browse" button to search your computer for the image you want to display.

When you find the image file, double-click it, and you will be brought back to your message page. Now you will want to click the "Add the file" box, to the right of the "Browse" box.

Presto! Your image will be attached at the bottom of your post. You will see "POSTED ATTACHMENTS" above the teal box now. Your image will be there, and you can type in a comment in the "File comment" entry area. You can add more images if you want....just go through the same procedure for each image.

#2 - If you have your photo uploaded to a photo hosting site, there is a way to post your link here. It's much easier than option 1. Just copy the link for your photo, then come here to the message posting area, and click the "Img" button (which is located above your posting window). The "img" code will appear in your message, and you will just paste your link in between the two sets of code brackets.

#3 - There is another way to post photos from photo hosting sites, but you will need to follow the directions for your particular site. I use Flickr, and I just click the "Share" button on my photo page, then copy and paste the BBCode for the image I want to put in my posts. I'm not sure how it works with Photobucket, or other photo hosting sites, but maybe some other members here can help with that.

I hope this helps!

My yarn came today, and I was SO anxious to get it out of the box.
In a matter of seconds after the UPS guy left, this is how my living room floor looked:

Lots O Yarn! by Shandeh, on Flickr

I began looking through it all, then figured out which yarn will be used for each of the two blankets I'm making. The left stack is for my crocheted blanket. The right stack is for the knitted blanket. I asked my sister to help choose the colors for the knitted blanket, because I want to give it to her. :D I will only START that one, and then send it all her way. She is a knitter too, so I'll let her finish up the blanket herself. It will make a nice (very late) Christmas gift.

After sorting it all out, I grabbed the stack for the crochet blanket, and took it to my craft room/bedroom. I wanted to see how the yarn colors look in that room. It's a perfect match!! :cloud9:

And my sister's color combination for the knitted blanket looks very rich and beautiful:
