I have made many afghans as gifts but this will be the first time that I have made some for myself. This is also the first time I have done a mystery project. I hope I chose my colors well.

Welcome! :hellogoodbye:
I think it's so exciting working on a mystery blanket. As it comes together, it always surprises everyone. Adds a lot of fun to the project. :)

I'm doing the KAL blanket. I want to try and get it finished for Easter for my son and his girlfriend. :knit: Wish me luck. I'm also knitting for my new grandchild that should be here in time for Easter.

I'M MAKING BOTH BLANKETS. THE CROCHET ONE WITH WAVERLY AND THE KNIT FROM MY STASH. AM HAVING A LITTLE DIFFICULTY GETTING OCTAGONS TO COME TO 11X11 . HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT SIZE HOOKS ONE MAKES TOO LARGE AND NEXT MAKES SLIGHTLY SMALLER. WHICH WOULD BLOCK OUT BEST?

Blocking can make motifs slightly larger, but there's no way to make them smaller. Use the smaller hook, then block your motifs to the right size :)
Temperature Scarf KAL: Bernat Satin, corrugated ribbing.

I wish I could make them small. My first one for CAL clue 5 is about an inch too big. If I could somehow shrink during blocking I wouldn't be about to frog and redo it. I just don't understand how everything else is either right on or too small, and now this one is huge. :idonno:
