I'm trying to wait patiently, but patience has never been one of my virtues!! I'm keeping busy by sewing on my quilt and getting it ready to piece together.

You are so lucky! I don't know anyone near me who crochets. You are very fortunate to be able to spend this special time with your sister!

I am so anxious to get started that I have set a reminder in my blackberry! Does anyone know the time of day that the clue will be released??

OMG I am so excited! I had followed along last time, watching the clues get sent out, everyone's progress, but since I did not have the yarn I didn't make it. I didn't even think I could have used different yarn till much later and it was all over. I had so much fun being on the sidelines I figure I better join in now!

I too bought my first batch at Mary Maxim, we drove there cuz I knew they had all 28 colours and I really wanted to see them in person, and they are only about an hour away. Good thing too, I would have chosen a completely different set had I done so on-line only! I ended up buying Beautiful Things from Mary Maxim.

I wish I knew someone close to me who crocheted so we could do this together. I am so afraid I will lose motivation (bad case of ADD here - finishing projects is the hardest thing for me, I am always jumping to the next one before the last is finished).

I have accepted that if I do a pattern that is--make 30 of these squares or repeat this stitch for 3 more feet--that the project will be something I work intermittently. I'm just not the kind of person who can do the exact same task day in and day out for weeks. That's okay. If there is a pattern like his that I really like the look of I just rotate a few projects.

I have noticed several people mentioning that thy are going to wind their skeins into balls in our time left. I have never done that to skeins like this where you can pull from the center. Are there advantages?

I'm on the edge of my SEAT, I tell ya!
I will be SO happy when our clues start popping out.

To pass the time, I've been knitting a toy monster for Valentine's Day, using Bernat Satin yarn. It's coming along nicely.

And I'm making a tiny preemie-sized bonnet, with some very soft scrap yarn.

I recently finished some crochet dishcloths for the church secretary. And now, I'm making her a matching Swiffer cover.

I'm considering getting started on making a granny vest, using Bernat's free pattern.

I wonder if that will occupy my time until next Wednesday? :)

I've never made balls either. Once I get it started from the middle, my yarn flows.
