What colors did you use?

I used Pretty in Pink, Turqua, Baby Pink, and Black. All four were colors from the yarn company the pattern is from.

Thank you bluebird. I got it at the Mary Maxim website. No chart, just directions. I actually dislike this pattern. It's so hard to understand and had to frog so many times. And some of it's not correct, unless maybe they've corrected it by now. But it is a pretty pattern. I've made two for gifts, but I won't do another.

There are a couple of books called Circular Baby Afghans and More Circular Baby Afghans that have similar patterns in them. You can also find a doily pattern you like and make it in a worsted weight.

broomstick lace. overlapping rows, really long loops. worked in the round. will look like a succession of interlocking petals.

i spent the next 90 minutes (with a 5 yr old nagging me and work sitting there undone) with 2 different colors, trying to put what was in my head into yarn. So far I have ideas, but it's not QUITE what I had in mind. If i pull it off, it will be SUCH an awesome pattern....hard as all heck, but it'll be gorgeous.

anyway, just had to share that with you. If i can get it to work, i'll post a picture. Of course, I have 4 other "patterns" that came to me in my head right now, so I'll see when I get to it.

I wish I were creative!!!!! I am great at copying and following patterns but do not have the talent needed for creating my own designs. I am really happy that lots of others are willing to share!! Good luck with your project,

I forgot to mention that he is 6' 3" so I had to make sure it was nice and long :)

Did you come up with this pattern or find it somewhere? My Dad went to UK, as did my Aunt and Uncle and now one of my cousins is going there. Would love to make a couple of them as gifts. Thanks for sharing!

I agree, HeyHeyCrochet! I would love to do this pattern too. Most of my family are Kentucky fans and would love this afghan too.
