I love those new scarves...I've told several people that if they want to learn to knit this is the only way I'll be teaching it as long as this yarn is available. And it's got to be the most rewarding finished project ever. People just rave over these scarves.

I have been crocheting for years but can only do the most basic of knitting. However I knit several of those great ruffled scarves for folks this winter and am actually working on another one right now. LOVE them! :inlove:

It's alot of granny, with some basic variations. Have fun with the colorway. Let me know how you work it out. :hellogoodbye:

Thank you! I think I will go ahead and get the pattern and add it to my list of to do's. It's a beautiful pattern I just was concerned it would be too hard.

The thing is I'm all caught up in both CALs! Maybe I'll teach myself how to block this week just for something to do. :reading:

Oh, if anyone's interested in joining our little CAL, let me know and I'll send you the link to the blog. (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link here, and I figured I'd rather play it safe and not get kicked out of this awesome forum.)

Miss Mylin those are so pretty. I'd love to have the link. You can email me if you prefer. Timorelaine@gmail.com

I was working on the border for an afghan for my sister until I saw this link on an email from Michael's Crafts and decided that a basket full of these eggs would be perfect for our great nephew for Easter. I found two foam eggs in one of my craft drawers and am going to try to stuff the rest. I am using Bernat handicrafter and Super Value--lots of colors in my stash. I am finding that the Bernat Super Value is easier to work since it has more give to it.

Thank you to dcrozier for the link to the Easter eggs. I am going to make a whole bunch of stuffed ones. My 3 grandsons inevitably end up throwing anything they get their hands on like a football, and these will be SOOO much cooler than Nerf. :hellogoodbye:

Did you know they can be made by crocheting also?

How can they be crocheted? I have made some knitted ones but an intrigued by the fact that I may be able to use my crochet hook instead, and with this tendonitis in my shoulder that may be an easier option!

Finally got around to taking pictures. This is what I have been doing when I wasn't CAL-ing. I like having a project going that I call a 'no-brainer'. The afghan has two pattern rows and when you learn them you never have to look at the pattern again. It is a ripple/open fan design. It is done in Red Heart Buff Fleck and the contrast striping in Golden Brown, Black and regular Buff. The stripes will repeat three time. I feel like I am corcheting the desert whe I work on it.
