I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with so many projects going on! Besides the Mystery CAL, I'm also working on the 2010 CAL, a Catherine Wheel Afghan, a scarf and an Afghan to throw in my hubby's truck.

I'll admit I had no idea what a babette is, So I googled it (thank goodness for google). Wow, those are beautiful blankets!! gabby169kitty, I love the colors you chose. I sure it will make a stunning blanket! :bravo:

I'm working on an order for a photographer friend of mine. She wanted some baby cocoons (this is the third one), some flowers that can clip on to the cocoons (you can see 2, and the other cocoons, in the background), and today I have to go pick up yarn to make her a newborn puppy hat.

I'm really happy with how the cocoons have turned out, the are so thick and soft, thanks for Bernat Roving. I LOVE that stuff! I will most likely be picking more of it up today as well.

I had no idea either, but google made me want to start making one of my own! Now I just need to find enough colors... and maybe a pattern to guide me. I wonder if I have enough stash yarn. I'm sure my oldest would love one, especially if I have lots of different shades of pinks in it.

I'm working with the Martha Stewart Weave and Loom kit to weave 16 12" x 12" squares in solids and checks to be pieced together into a blanket. I only have 4 solid squares left to make and then it's just a matter of figuring out how in the heck I want to arrange the pieces to put them together. The squares have very large crochet looking edges. Anyone have any recommendations of the best (or even easiest but still nice looking because I'm lazy but still care that it looks decent) way to put these together?

I work in blocks of times on other things. I work about 22 minutes at a time on something I need to do and then give myself 8 minutes to work on projects I want to be doing. Once I get everything else finished I can work on whatever I want, but working in 22 minute blocks at a time makes sure that housework, my kids school (home schooled), and anything else I have on that days list that I need to do gets finished before my husband gets home.

You are a genious! We homeschool too, but right now I have a houseful of sickies. But I'm sitting here looking at the house thinking to myself that I need to get it whipped into shape before my hubby gets home. How a sick 3 year old can still manage to trash a living room I don't know but it is bad, lol. Reading your method is perfect! From now on I am going to try that. But I will still crochet while listening to reading lessons ;)

I forgot to post what I'm working on, lol.

-Two afghans as wedding presents
-An afghan for my daughter
-A Wooleater afghan
-Another afghan that I have affectionately titled "The Disaster"
-Dishcloths and scrubbies

I am hoping to complete the afghan for my daughter in the next couple days.

A second CAL mystery, scarves with Starbella yarn for Christmas, Cross-stitch angels, and 40 small birthday cards for my brother's 40th birthday. But most importantly trying to teach my darling daughter how to crochet. :D

I googled this, too, to figure out what it was. OMG! That is a really cute blanket. I think I am going to try that to use up my stash. My mother would love something like that in a rainbow of colors! Be sure to post pics of your project :)
