What are YOU working on to pass the time?

Talk about the KAL/CAL in a general sense. Knitters and crocheters, get to know one another while discussing your choices of Bernat Waverly shades!

Besides working on the CAL - still working on blocks 5 and 6 of CAL 2...

I'm almost halfway done with a mobius twist shawl for my sister done with Tunisian stitch.

Otherwise, my projects have dried up a bit.

I should drag out the sewing machine, but that takes motivation - guess I need to get me some of that.

I finally finished my order for photography props! I made a few baby cocoons and a puppy hat! Now I can finally get started on clue 2, yay!

I am stuck on the *Ch 5. [(Yoh) twice. Draw up a loop in next st. (Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice] twice. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – tr2tog made. Rep from * to last sc. Ch 3. 1 tr in last sc. Turn.[/quote]

I'll give it a try:

*Chain 5.
You will have one loop on your hook.
wrap yarn twice. This will give you 3 "loops" on hook.
put hook through SC space and draw up a loop (as to sc). This will leave you with 4 loops
wrap yarn over once and pull it through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops at this point.
wrap yarn over once and pull it through another 2 loops. Now you will have two loops left on your hook.
wrap yarn over twice, giving you 4 loops on your hook.
put hook through next SC space and draw up a loop. You should now have 5 loops on your hook.
wrap yarn over once and pull it through 2 loops. You will have 4 loops on your hook.
wrap yarn over once and pull it through another 2 loops. You will have 3 loops on your hook.
wrap yarn over once and pull through ALL 3 loops. Leaving you with one loop on your hook.

Keep doing this pattern until you have one SC space left.

Then:

Chain three.
Wrap yarn twice over hook. This will give you three loops on your hook.
put hook through last SC space and wrap yarn around hook, pulling through to give you 4 loops on your hook. Wrap yarn around again and pull hook through two of the loops on your hook. Wrap yarn around hook and pull through two more loops on hook. Wrap yarn around one more time and pull through last two loops left on hook.

Hope this helps and doesn't confuse more.

I'm working on a sweater for myself in the between times of completed clues and wait time for next clue. I've done many sweaters for grandchildren, but first time for myself. Hope it turns out okay! ;)

I have a knit boucle blanket I have been working on for weeks....now am also crocheting a shawl from the 2 extra balls I ended up with as I somehow ordered an extra color, and am making beer/water bottle cozies with a neck strap to sell. Always starting something new. Trying to figure what I will do with the leftover yarn from the CAL - I think I am going to make a pillow to match the blanket.

This is a pattern I just found 2 days ago. I have a friend whose nickname is Peanut & her Birthday is next month. I have already made her Peanut jewelry. So, when I saw this I knew it would be perfect for her birthday. Took me about 3 hours to make up. Also have decided to make a second CAL afghan in blues & browns & save it for my 6 yr old grandson for Christmas!!

My cousin had her first child about a month ago. She had a lot of trouble getting pregnant and when she was just about to give up...It happened! A miracle baby! Just like Sarah and Abraham! :bravo:

I am so excited for her and her husband I decided to make them a blanket for their precious child. :cloud9:

So, I picked up some Bernat baby Satin yarn today to do a pattern I found on line called,
"Sugar & Shine baby afghan."

I'm gonna start it tomorrow then send it off to Nova Scotia! :hellogoodbye:
