I've never tried mitering a corner in seed stitch, but that might be your best bet. i took the easy route and added about 2" of seed stitch to the beginning and end of the top and bottom borders before starting the pattern itself, then matched it to the seed stitch edges of the sides when I sewed it together. From a distance it looks like its all one piece.

Congratulations on finishing your blanket! :bravo:
I know you are very proud of your work.

You can post a photo of your finished blanket in one of the Finished Blanket discussions.
If your blanket is crocheted, post your photo HERE.
If your blanket is knitted, post your photo HERE.

And HERE is a tutorial, which shows how to post photos in our forum.

I'm so late that it's over and I haven't even started yet! To make a long story short, let's just say there were several reasons why this blanket was bad timing for me. But I had such a great time making the 2010 blanket that I didn't want to miss out. I have all the instructions that I need, but I still need the time to get it started. I'm hoping October or November will be better for me to clear my calendar. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Hi Susan! So nice to hear from you. :)
It's never too late to make the 2012 Mystery Blanket. Several of us are still making ours. I think I am only halfway through making my motifs.

Are you doing the KAL or the CAL?
If you printed out your clues earlier, you should probably reprint them from the main page now. There were a few corrections and updates made in the process.

Here's the page with all the clues: http://www.bernat.com/2012mysteryafghan/

I'm still working on clue 2 for the KAL. I finished my CAL with everyone else, but I crochet a lot faster than I knit it seems because the KAL is taking forever! We moved into our new house a month ago and I still haven't picked it back up. I just can't seem to find the motivation to work on it even though I know I want it done by Christmas since it is supposed to be a gift to my son. :idonno:

Anyone know when the next CAL/KAL is supposed to start? I might have to use that as a motivation to get this one done. Maybe that coming up will convince me to finish this one up before it's time to order the yarn for the next ones. Especially since I know my poor husband would go nuts if I told him I was ordering another giant box of yarn before I finished the project that is currently taking up a large box with nothing but yarn

Welcome back! :hellogoodbye: I just love having all of you here, still finishing your blanket, just like me. I'm such a slow poke. :)

I haven't heard anything from Bernat yet about our next mystery project. But, I'm sure they will have something special for us in 2013.
