Colors

I'm thinking of using colors from our favorite football team, The San Diego Chargers, and wondering if it would work well. Can anyone say whether the KAL is a more feminine or masculin pattern? I would be using Dark blue, blue, grey, white and yellow. Thanks!

I did read somewhere on the forum that the kal afghan is more suited to a boys room I'm sure. So I imagine it's a more masculine design, I think the colours you describe would be very effective together but I feel your pain! It's so hard to choose when you don't know what the final design is.

I'm not sure where you found that, but it may have been somebody talking about a specific shade scheme. The knit afghan is neither masculine nor feminine - it will fit everywhere!

Thanks everyone! Good to know that the pattern is neutral so I'm going to go ahead with my colors! I'm such a planner and over thinker, its hard to go into this not knowing what the outcome will be! Although that is supposed to be part of the fun! LOL

My mother and I are doing the CAL together. Today I ordered our yarn. We tried to get it from a local store but could not get or even see all the colors. We got a couple but had to order the rest online. I like to see the yarn colors before I buy so, like everyone else, I'm a little concerned about them going together. Here are our choices.
My mother is going with shades of blue: Beautiful Blue, Blue Gown, Breath of Blue, Cadet and Classic Navy as the Main Color.
I am trying to match the area rug in my family room. My Main Color is Tibetan Red, with Gypsy Gold, Sundrift, Willow and Black.

I've decided to try to attach a photo of my family room showing "the rug". Some of my family, too. If this works, I know I will be able to post pictures as the CAL continues.
Okay, I'm told the file is too big. So much for pictures.

Karenaz4 I know exactly how you feel. I went to my local Michaels for their big Sunday afternoon 25% off to get my yarn. I wanted to compare and choose colors. I got there and found that they yarn is on sale(great!), but thy were sold out of just about everything but black. It is supposed to be on
sale until the 4th, but the sales assistant couldn't see that they had ordered anymore. My local Michaels is quite small so they recommended that I try a larger store--same thing.

I have almost seen enough of the different colors to chose though. They just only had a 1-2 skeins of each color. Between the 2 stores I have just about seen all of the colors.
