knittenkitten - The blanket calls for 5 colors, just a reminder since you have 6 shown.

I chose colors I liked. I am going for a beach theme and found that I liked colors from all of the collections. Mostly the simplicity, I too thought about it long and hard, played with the palette tool for hours asked my family a million times and finally decided on:
Birch White as the main color and Sundrift, Breath of Blue, Aqua Frost, Irish Moss as the contrast colors. I am confident that no matter what the pattern that I love the colors and they all remind me so a soothing ocean scene!

I resized your photo for you, because we could only see the top left corner of the image. You can resize your own photos before uploading them here. Just look online for free photo resizing programs. They work great.

As joyousday mentioned....you only need 5 colors for the blanket. So, now you need to decide which color you will NOT be using! :hrmm:

Love it! Those shades look wonderful together and will make a really nice afghan! :bravo:

Mine are at the top of the previous page. Please feel free to tell me what you think. I have always wanted to do autumn-ish colors so I chose these.

I am so excited to start this project. Like many of you picking colours was extremely difficult. Finally settled on cadet, classic navy, antique, blue gown and incense. I am making this for my 12 year old son as a keepsake later on. Thankfully, I am doing this with a friend from work to stay motivated.

I can't believe I changed my color palette this weekend. I am making both afghans and I choose sand and surf as the theme for the crochet one and the sun for the knit one. As I was driving home from work a little early one day this week (before the sun went down) I was admiring the look of the clouds in the sky with the sunset and decided to trade out two shades I had bought for the sun afghan for some blue and grey to go with the clouds. This better start soon before I decide to change the colors again!! ;)

:cloud9: I agree. I love my color choices, but there are so many things in nature that inspire us. Wednesday needs to get here quick, before we all end up with bins and bins of yarn we bought for this project, and then put away because we found something else more perfect.
