Re: Having problem with color choice

I did not think picking my colors would be so difficult. I seem to always stay in the greens and browns family, but I am thinking of going out of my comfort zone and trying something different. Think I might choose from the beautiful things collection. Was thinking of Sundrift with two of the reds and two greens, but willow and irish moss look so similar. Any thoughts??

I just chose colors easy on the eye. Was not trying to match anything. Sundrift is my main color.

I have another question about color choices. I don't see where anyone has chosen avairgated or ombre colored yarn? Is there some specific reason for that, or is it just all the solid lovelies are just jumping on the design board. Also, I can't figure out where these pallette choices are coming from.
Sorry for sounding stupid, but this is my first time around this forum and there is a lot here!

Looking forward to figuring it out. Also, if I chose red, green, white, and varigated Christmas, would you choose a gold, blue, or perhaps even black as the 5th color. I have enough of any of the above for the main color. Would the varigated be too much for the main color?

Thanks for your help.

How is everyone tonight? Got your colors picked out and ready?

I got opinions of the family, and my colors are all set. Before I order online, I am going to run to the store tomorrow and see if they have my colors, just so I can see them first, plus saving in shipping is always nice. But (using my whining voice) how long do we have to wait to start.......lol. I might have to find a project to do in the meantime. It is rare for me not to have a hook in my hand.
Happy Crocheting,

Another idea.. I am sure that the motifs we are going to be crocheting would make a lovely pillow along with our throw..

I had sooo much fun with the last crochet along. I made 2 afghans at onec last year. They were really pretty. I can't WAIT for the first clue to get here! The clues will definitely keep you guessing.

Could only afford to do one, so chose the CAL...in Tibetan Red, Sundrift, Gypsy Gold, Classical Navy, and Stone Brown...it's going in my bedroom which needs some color, so this should brighten things up a bit!

Loverly! Will keep the instructions for the KAL handy, so when finances permit, I can make another...probably all in one color, depending on how it turns out. Maybe another crochet one in a single color, depending on how IT looks...decisions, decisions!!!

May also decide to do it in a Chunky...the Bernat Softee Chunky comes to mind...nice color range, and a goodly amount of yardage for the price.......LOVE IT!!! All the choices!!!!

I let my daughter pick my colours, and she did a terrific job! And they are ordered so I can stop posting every time I think of a new combination!! (my husband said last night that if I keep it up they might kick me off the forum lol )
my colours are brown and blue with a pinky white main colour:
Sundrift
bark
classic navy
colonial beige
blue gown
I have a colour from every category! I wish I could figure out how to post a picture, I have enjoyed looking at the pictures people have posted here. Hope my combination looks good.
