How much yarn will be used?

Postby Greylady » Sat Feb 25, 2012 3:52 pm

I'm doing the KAL and one of my colors is the Gypsy Gold. Having trouble getting 3 skeins of same dye lot. Had planned to use it as Contrast C which calls for 3 skeins but currenty have only 2-2/3 skeins. (True story--My dog chomped up one skein and I couldn't save it all.). Wondering if full 3 skeins needed or should I switch it to Contrast 3 scheduled only for 2 skeins. My gauge is spot on with 5mm needles.

Thanks.

Hi Kathy! I think you'll be fine with 2 2/3 skeins of Contrast C.

Great, I 'll stick with the Gypsy Gold then. I'm using the Town & Country suggested colors except I switched out the Cadet Blue for the Stone Brown. I think the Gypsy Gold will look good as the Contrast C color. I got a late start so was hoping not to have to scramble the colors that would affect my squares for clue 1.

Thanks!

For Clue #1, are the blocks supposed to be 9 1/2 in width and height or 9/12 in width, height, and diagonal? I can get the height and width but not the diagonal. I have loosened my stitches and gone to a bigger needle. Any ideas?

Just width and height are to be 9.5 inches
