When I said 'last year's' I was referring to the one from 2010, sorry for the confusion. I guess i'm stuck in the past (by a few days)

Thank you Susie, That was very helpful. I have been crocheting for over twenty years and have maybe blocked a few doilies and an angel in all that time ( I used pins, a form, and spray-on-starch or sugar water).
What a good tip to block each piece as it is made. For someone like me, the daunting task of blocking months of work all at once is enough to make me skip the process all together. Thank you for your response, my finished product will be much better as a result.

Decided to do the CAL, ordered my yarn yesterday & today I was looking over the 2010 CAL and started to psych myself out. I've been crocheting 2 years but rarely any challenging patterns (code for, I stick to easy, basic patterns within my comfort/ lazy zone). I am also left-handed which seems to be a problem for me with some patterns. Will there be resouces for those of us who may get stuck on a section?

Thanks!!!!!

Could you tell me how to join the CAL ?
This year, my mother and I, will do it together, we must finalize our color choice and I will order our yarns tomorrow.
Should we we register individual (because I'll place only 1 order) ?

Yes! There will be lots of help!

Along with clues, you will find photos, charts, and occasional videos as well.
And, we will be able to help each other as well

No registration is necessary. You can join in whenever you want.
You will need to come back here to check occasionally, to see the next clue, and look at how others are doing with their blanket.

Just choose your yarn, watch for the clues, and knit your blankets. I hope we will get to see some photos of your work!

I don't know the answer to that. I'm sure that Jen or Kaleigh will let us know tomorrow, though.

Opps posted this to wrong board
Yipee a KAL & CAL.
Have got the colors picked out. But need to make them longer, have men in the house that are 6'6" and 6'3",
would get plenty of grouching if I made either of them less then 65", normally do 72".
How much extra should I order and will the patterns allow for the extra length.
On the last KAL and CAL, created some differnt pattern blocks to add extra length and width.
Waiting for advice, to order, can't wait to get started

There are 15 weeks total, but there are not 15 clues. For instance, there's a catch-up week and some time for joining squares included in those 15.
Temperature Scarf KAL: Bernat Satin, corrugated ribbing.
