I couldn't get the swing of how to do the handle in the directions (wasn't sure how to insert my hook back into the 1st loop) so I did the crochet cord which looks pretty nice. I still need to make the flower, which I hope to do tonight along with the other handle. I'll post another picture once it is all set.

I know I got wishy washy about my color scheme :scared: but I actually like how it turned out and know that my daughter will love the colors!!

I love how it turned out!

What colour will you be making the flower? Will you make it detachable and make one out of each colour already used? Will you make two each colour so she can put it in her hair and one to match her purse for the day? So many possibilities!

As for the handles, my first couple rows on both were a little wonky, cuz I just could not figure/remember how to do it - yes, even on the second handle, after already completing one handle! But i did find I had to remove my hook and put it in last loop (like making popcorn stitch) then remember to turn it counter clockwise and put the first loop back on. I kept wanting to turn it clockwise. since you already have one handle you cannot practice, but maybe someone else reading this will take something from it

I kept trying the handle with some spare yarn and it just wasn't working, thought I might have had it at one point but then realized I had dropped some loops---oops :o I might try again at some point, I am happy with the cord I made though so that is good.

Oh my, you just filled my heads with ideas for the flower. I don't have too much of the dark pink or the dark purple left, so was thinking a neutral (white or cream) for the main part of the flower and then make the center with either the dark pink or purple to coordinate. I do like the idea of attaching them to clips so my daughter can swap them out. I already have a purple variegated flower done that I made for her hair so I'm one step ahead :crown:

HANDLES!!!

I did the Yoh and pull through loop with the third loop as well as the first 2 because it kept unravelling. I think it looks ok.

Thank you for all your kind words, I am really pleased the way the bag turned out. I made the flower last night, not sure what happened to my brain since I had to re-start several times  . The white yarn has a wee bit of a sparkle to it, (think snowy sparkle, it was left over from snowmen I made this winter) which I thought gave it just a little extra pop. I still have one handle to make, but you get the idea of how it will look.

We are celebrating my daughters birthday at the end of the month, I can not wait to see her reaction!!! Yup, I'm pretty proud :crown:

Teeyay, those handles look great! I never did figure out that stitch, but I might in my spare time (spare time  ) give it another try. I really do like the look of them.
