I made the flower last night, not sure what happened to my brain since I had to re-start several times  . The white yarn has a wee bit of a sparkle to it, (think snowy sparkle, it was left over from snowmen I made this winter) which I thought gave it just a little extra pop. I still have one handle to make, but you get the idea of how it will look.

We are celebrating my daughters birthday at the end of the month, I can not wait to see her reaction!!! Yup, I'm pretty proud :crown:

I'm sure she'll love it. My daughters would both love having one. Luckily I have time before their birthdays so I might make a couple of more once I finally get around to making one for myself LOL

First time posting. I just started the CAL and found this post while I was impatiently awaiting the next clue. I'm going shopping now to purchase some yarn for this pattern. It looks fun. Happy Crocheting!

Question for everyone:

When it says to sew on the handles and the flower are you using a needle and thread, or a yarn needle and yarn, or what? :idonno: This is my first crochet project that requires sewing.

Hi Teeyay, I sewed them on with yarn needle and yarn. Not saying that is the only way, just how I did it.

Hope that helps.

I used a big plastic yarn needle and same coloured yarn as flower or bag top to sew my purse together. I was careful to make big stitches though where you can't see but just pick up little loops on the inside of the purse so that you don't notice where the handles are sewn on from the outside. (hope that makes sense.)

Makes sense to me! I too was wondering how to go about sewing it together, maybe I will do that before finishing the last two rows of this weeks CAL

Did you put a liner in your purse?

No I didn't but I should  It will be easy enough to do but I will probably wait until I am caught up with all the other projects. :knit:
