Satin - Mystery Afghan Knit-Along - Complete

Postby SuziQ » Wed Feb 08, 2012 2:50 pm

 I'm working with this pattern: http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=5037 and have a question about one of the stitches in the glossary.
"Sl3 = Slip next 3 stitches purlwise with yarn at RS of work."
I'm assuming this means to keep the yarn at the front but am not sure. The Right Side of the work on this particular block is the odd numbered rows, and this stitch is used on Rows 4-8, and 12=16.
Thank you.

Put a stitch marker on the Right Side, and when it's time to Sl3 just put the yarn on the side with the marker before you do it. Does that help?

The 2009 KAL Mystery Blanket

Postby ashininger » Thu Mar 01, 2012 11:28 pm

Does anyone know if Bernat has ever done a KAL before?

I was looking at the CAL forum and noticed there were some posts / pictures of the last CAL that happened. I would love to see any pictures from past KAL's if someone has any...

Thanks!

As far as I can tell they have only done this one

It looks much more difficult than this years. I would like opinions if it is more advanced or if looks are deceiving and it is much simpler than it looks eh!

The 2009 blanket pattern looks lovely.
It would be a little bit more difficult to knit , but as they do only 3 squares each week it should be quite managable.
I may print it off to do later, I think it is the colours that are used that make it look so nice.
