Granny Motif Baby Sack CAL

Postby Shandeh » Sat Aug 11, 2012 12:57 pm

Okay, all you smart, experienced crocheters! Help us out as we learn to make this new pattern from Bernat.

I haven't started mine yet, and you all know how slow I am. So, whoever wants to start this CAL, feel free to go right ahead! (I'm gonna be busy for a while, doing the Flutter Sleeve Vest CAL and the Cabled Baby Sack KAL.)

Here's the free pattern: Granny Motif Baby Sack

My niece is having their first baby, and I think this would be adorable (I'm hoping it'll be a girl). However, the download does not seem to be working. I can get the pdf up, but when I click on the save icon/button, nothing happens. This has happened with a couple of other Bernat pdf's also (e.g., Softee Baby - Crocodile Stitch Baby Blanket). Most of them download just fine. Any idea why I can't get certain ones to work?
Thank you.

I had no problem saving the pdf; it saved just fine for me.
I am considering making this; but with a more neutral motif, as I don't know if my first grandchild is going to be a boy or a girl.

I'm no computer expert, but I'm wondering if maybe your PDF viewer might need updating? Sometimes an update can solve things like that.

Okay, my bad. I must have had too much going on cuz my computer crashed about 15 minutes after I sent my message. It's working just fine this morning and I was able to download with no problems. Now I have to go out and buy my yarn - such a hardship, you know. :)
Thank you for replying.

Oh my goodness, I have found a little bit of heaven. I am laughing at myself because I am an avid crochet/knitter. I ALWAYS have some kind of yarn project in hand. Right now I am working on batman and superman afghans (started for my 11 yr old grandson), but claimed by my 35 and 29 year old sons!!! I have a lot of stitching to do before Christmas. HOWEVER, my son and his wife are trying to get pregnant and I am definately downloading this adorable pattern in hopes that I will be making it soon. I just joined, but believe me, you will hear more from me. I hate to sign off to go to bed! Debi Z

Welcome to the Bernat crowd! :hellogoodbye:
Your superhero afghans sound AWESOME! My grown sons would like those too, I bet. ;)

I hope to hear from you again when your granny baby sack gets going.

OK, I think I am in also--will check out the pattern tomorrow when I am not quite so tired. I sure wish my dog would decide to sleep until 8 a.m. instead of wanting to get up between 4 and 5. No one I know is pregnant right now and since I have only two granddogs instead of grandchildren, this will probably go to charity. Also, I must be out of my mind starting another new project when I am already working on four blankets--I know Shandeh can relate!!!!!!

I have a good looking 31 year old soon-to-be-divorced son--anyone know of a good female prospect???? I would eventually like real grandchildren!!!!!

Thanks for joining in! :D I can definitely relate to having several projects going at once. I think it keeps our creative spirit alive if we allow ourselves to make as many things as we want! Anyway, if we decide we don't like a project, we can unravel it without worries, because we have so many other items on the needles and hooks. :)
