Discussion and Photos of our Works in Progress (Jan. & Feb.)

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

Thanks Donnajea, I hope next step will look as nice. ;) I divided the temperature between 10 degree celcius, so I won't have too much colors...

Here's my afghan Jan 1 thru Jan 26, 2013. It's really easy and fun to do, but sad to say I only work on one square a day!

4 rows for beginning and 3 rows for 3 days in Dallas

Are you making one big granny square with a new row for each day? What a smart idea - I'm making a 2 row granny square for each day. Keep up the good work and please submit more photos.

Well I am slow catching up only on Jan. 6th so far. Hope to get lots :knit: done tomorrow and maybe even a picture. After seeing the beautiful almost full moon tonight (full tomorrow) decided to represent that as well. Hubby suggested adding some beads to the row for the day of the full moon each month. Now I have to check out my bead stash. :D

I love it, it is so pretty!

I'm working from home today because my little one is sick. I snuck in a little knitting this morning to get caught up to today. I'm normally a very calculated knitter who plans out what colour will be used where, so do this is kind of out of my comfort zone! So far I love how it looks & I'm hoping it looks kind of like a patchwork quilt when I'm done.

I have never thought about the small mitered squares. I am doing a baby blanket with mitered squares and it's coming out really neat - each square has two colors. The little squares would be awesome to use up yarn and would make a great hodge podge blanket. I love your design! :D Happy Knitting! :knit:
