Discussion and Photos of our Works in Progress (Jan. & Feb.)

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

You're a quick knitter, and it's looking great!

It is 1st Febuary to day so starting my scarf.
I wanted to do January but couldn't find the temperatures for our area, so waited until today to start I will post a pic in about 2 weeks.
It is in the 30sC today that would be in the 80sF so will be using red yarn to start.

I did not want to many colors so I took the average temp and used 10 degree celcius in between.

I LOVE your idea of when to change stitches! I wanted to use different stitches but was afraid of it being too busy. Now that I see a WIP, I may have to rethink my rethunked plans. Your wrap is beautiful!

I can't believe how much fun this is!
oh - and because I am in a fairly temperate climate in the PNW, I decided to do increments of 5 degrees. What do you think?

LOVE IT!! :bravo:

I am crocheting a granny square temperature afghan! I will be making a granny square each day, the first round in the high temp of the day and the second round in white. I figured 365 days, 3 white squares between the months an one white square at the begining and end of the afghan. That will be a total of 400 squares. I will have 20 squares per row, and 20 rows total. Will figure out the border when know how much yarn I'll have left over from the temperature colors. I made an excel spread sheet listing the dates and white squares. I'll try to post it for you.
