What's it like outside?

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

What's it like outside?

Take a snapshot and let us know what the weather is like in your area!

OK......I'll play along. It's 73 degrees in Downtown Fort Worth. Lots of people out enjoying a beautiful lunch time today on a very much above normal day for January.....even for this area. Tomorrow's forecast: High of 58......I know, warm for lots of you, but more typical January for us.!

Ok, I'll answer the question, but no picture, because a picture would not add anything. We have no snow or anything that would indicate the bitterly cold weather. The forecast is for a high of 23 with winds. Edison, NJ is just far enough north that the snow track is not supposed to give us any significant snowfall, but the cold is still here. Those of you with temperatures over 40 degrees need not add to our misery by posting pictures of green trees and things that look like spring to us in the cold areas.
Knitting for others makes the world a better place.

Sorry 'bout that! It's unusual for us as well. Last week we didn't get over about 35 all week long. We just don't get the snow....except for a few days out of the year. We, like you, are far enough south, that if there is snow to the north of us, it usually stops before it gets here, but we do get the cold. We occasionally get into single digits and there have been a few times that I have seen it down to 0 on my patio in Jan/Feb. I feel bad for you guys.......Our son lives on Long Island and is freezing! It looks like your temps are supposed more into the 40's next week though.

Overcast now and cool, with low fog earlier today. This pic taken from work, near the town of Kenwood in Sonoma County, CA.

 This is what I woke up to this morning. They are predicting 2-3 inches. I think that is on the ground already. Temperature was 11F with a feels like 0. I had to take my dog out for a walk. Since it was early Friday morning, the sidewalks weren't cleared. Those of you who live in the North know how hard it is to walk in the snow with no footprints to follow. I am worn out because my dog Heidi loves romping through the snow. Well, she had fun.

It was sunny and beautiful yesterday. Wasn't able to take a photo.

Today, we are getting ice and sleet.

What a weird place. :?

Our sunshine-y 73 yesterday is now 48 and cloudy with a little wind. No snow or sleet in the forecast, but it changes quickly here too. It seems like the weather can change quickly no matter where you live..
