Discussion and Photos of our Works in Progress (Mar. & Apr.)

During our current KAL/CAL, you'll be working on a scarf a little bit every day for the whole year. At the end, look back and see how the weather has changed!

Share the photos and stories of your progress here! Any work you do during March and/or April, even if it's working on rows from a previous month, should be detailed in this post. :)

You will see by the photo that we have had a lot of hot weather in New Zealand.
This is what January and now February looks like.
This is a fun project and with only knitting 2 rows a day it gives me time to do other things.
Have just finished knitting a jersey for our little 8 monthold great Grandson.

February was a very blah month color wise - I hope March adds some more peapod green or heather grey! The edge is looking so ratty, but I'll cover all that up with my crochet border in black at the end...

Just love those colours you are using, and also the different sorts of stitches, so very pretty.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I keep increasing on the rows. My last row I had to decrease twice to get it back to the 27 I'm doing. I'm doing the crochet version.

Here is January thru February. February is on the left in the picture and January is on the right in the picture.

I will keep going, hopefully I will figure out what I'm doing wrong. I know it has something to do with the beginning and/or ending stitches of each row. :knit:

I'm almost thinking of giving up and trying the knit version. But I don't know how to change colors in knitting.

:hrmm:

So here's the scarf so far.

As at today (1st March) that's three months in a row starting on green for me - weird huh?!

Still longing for a nice wee proper stripe of snow - we had the lightest of talc-ings for a couple of hours last month, but there's still hope - we had a few days of Snow in St Paddy's week a couple of years ago, so maybe...
