What a great story!

HI! I'm Vicki and I live in Ontario Canada. This is my first time on the forum, and I'm very excited about the CAL and KAL.
Do you knit and/or crochet? I do both

How long have you been knitting and/or crocheting? My mother tried to teach me to knit while I was a teenager but I didn't really pick it up. I tried it again when I was pregnant with my son, who is now 25. and have pretty well taught myself. I started to crochet in highschool.

What are your favorite things to make? I love to make baby clothes, hats, scarves and mitts. I don't do too many larger items as I get bored doing the same stitch over and over.

What other hobbies do you have? I like to toll paint, cross stitch, needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku and cook.

Hi you all!
I just realize that after 24 posts I haven't introduce myself yet (how rude of me)
I live in Trois-Rivières, Quebec and I just love knitting and crocheting. I am a grandmother of 2 boys Edouard 2years old and Charles 6months old. Last crocheted item was the christening robe and hat for my grandson Charles a few months ago. I really enjoyed last CAL. It was fun, no wonder why I'm back again. I did well with my afghan, it looks very nice. I had to do another one as a gift (how convenient  )

I started knitting when I was a little girl and my mother tried to teach me crochet but I had a hard time being a lefty, But as time went by, I finally pick it up. Now I can do anything (almost) :D with help sometimes

I do other crafty things, I guess I just cannot stand still

Hi all. My name is Tuesday (no I was not named after the day of the week nor was I born on a Tuesday. I was named after an actress. I give this disclaimer out of having to have answered those questions a lot over my 33 years, lol)I am the proud momma of two boys (one is a 14 year old and the other is 19 months). They are my world and keep me on my toes. I have a wonderful and supportive husband. He encourages me in all I do. ♥

Do you knit and/or crochet? I am a crocheter

How long have you been knitting and/or crocheting? I have been crocheting for about 8 years now. I originally started crocheting to help me stop smoking. Thought it would be easier if my hands had something to do. I found it also helped with my stress/anxiety and gave me a great creative outlet.

Where are you from? I live in Michigan

What are avorite things to make? I like making all kinds of things. I have been making my own designs/patterns lately. I really aspire to be a designer.

What er hobbies do you have)? I have dabbled in all sorts of crafts. I draw, bead, do paper art, scrapbook..... But nothing inspires me more than crocheting.

Hi
I am from Kitchener Ontario Canada
I knit and crochet. Have been crocheting since my early teens and knitting since my early 20's. My mother taught me to crochet and tryed to teach me to knit but couldn't pick it up from her. Neither could 3 of 4 of my sisters. Once I left home and found a cable hat/scrave set that was just out of my price range I when and purchased a book/yarn/needle and made a cable set for myself. Yes that was the first thing I ever knitted.

I have knitted dishcloths, socks, sweaters, baby blankets and am working away on mitts for a charity.

Other crafting I do is quilting , cross stitch, embroidery and sewing

Hi, I'm Lisa from Frisco, Texas (just north of Dallas). I'm new to this forum and new to mystery afghans, but not new to crocheting and knitting. I'm not as fast at knitting so I'm challenging myself to do the KAL! It has taken me DAYS to finally decide on my colors and I just ordered them - Butter, Porcelain Red, Greek Sea, Cadet and Birch White. Nice to meet all of you, and I look forward to chatting throughout the KAL process!

I am new to the forum so here goes . . .

Do you knit or crochet? I mainly knit but can attempt simple crochet as in granny squares.

How long have you been knitting/crocheting? Since the late 1960’s when I took a beginning knitting class at Sears/Roebuck because I wanted a grey cardigan and could not find that color in ready-made. I wore that sweater for ages!

Where are you from? I currently reside in Jacksonville, Florida. We moved up to NE Florida (from South Florida) in 2004 to be closer to the grandchildren.

What are your favorite things to make? Almost anything. Last year I cranked out about 50 pairs of slippers to donate to a nursing home. I am somewhat “fluffy” and need to keep my hands busy in order to keep from nibbling. I am currently trying out some new sweater patterns.

What other hobbies do you have? I love to read. I also like to download audio books to my mp3 player and listen while I knit. My DDH has a large collection of old radio programs that I also listen to.
