I am also a first time KAL, but have been knitting on and off for about 10 years now. I have spent the last two years of my hobby life solely knitting. I am getting very sick of baby blankets (I've made 5 and still have one more to go), and decided I needed to change it up a bit and make something fun for myself. When I saw that we were making an afghan, and then looked at the color choices, I decided this is exactly what I need. I am going to go with the new couch I have in my apartment. I can't wait to get started and get to know all of you in the process!

Hi All! I'm like "uwcheese", I am a long time crocheter and have had minimal success knitting...scarves and hats are about it...lol. I am excited also about trying this KAL for the first time. I have all my yarn and am raring to go. I hope this will build my confidence and skill enough to actually make something wearable someday..AHAHA!

This is my first knit-along. I was getting ready to start an afghan for my best friend and decided it would be fun to make it a surprise for both of us! My sister is going to do it also. It's her first knit-along too.

well, I never did the last one, but I am excited for this one, I have most of my yarn bought, going to get the rest this weekend. I started crochetting 13 years ago, picked up knitting a few years back, still a learning curve for me, but it's coming. So I debated between CAL or KAL, decided on knitting, here's to hoping it goes well.

I have been so excited to get started with the CAL, I think I'm going to buy some yarn to do the KAL also. I think I will find some fabric I like, take it to the yarn dept. and see what i can find to match!

This will be my first KAL! I am a beginner, who has knit TONS of wash cloths, baby hats, cowls, and a baby blanket.
I am anxious to learn some new skills and stitches, and finish a "real" piece! Soon, I hope to make an easy t-shirt/sweater for myself...
