True! Just remember that if your gauge is turning out LARGER than what is specified, you might need extra yarn to complete your blanket. ;)

I poured over the Waverly colors looking for what might go with my living room or my bedroom. In the end, I decided to go with a palette for my bedroom. I went to the store tonight (don't do credit cards) and I did not see any Waverly at Joann's. Michaels had a limited selection. So, I started roaming the aisles from scratch. I got a variety of medium weight yarn to start: MC will be a cream color/contrasts will be a pale yellow, a pink, a pastel sage green, and Bernat Satin in lavender. I know it may not come out perfect using different yarns (all are medium weight acrylic), but I'm okay with that. I really, really, wanted any blanket I did for my bed to include a light yellow and a lavender as those are my favorite colors. I'm much happier now and looking forward to getting started on the BIG MYSTERY!!!! with the colors that felt right for me. P.S. I usually give everything away that I make. So, this will be the first big item that I make just for myself!

I'm behind on Clue 3, but I'm avidly working on clue 4!

Interesting! Be sure to check your gauge with each yarn, and write notes to help you remember what size needle you need to use with each yarn.

I'm using ILTY because that's what I have available and I really do love working with this yarn.

I'm going to control myself and not buy any new yarn until I've used the Bernat Super Value yarn I found in my stash. There will be enough to make the mystery afghan. I made a test swatch and a crochet hook H will give me the right gauge. So, I'm ready to start my first CAL.

Don't feel guilty! Several people are using different yarns. Just enjoy the project, and keep us informed on how it's going for you. :D

It looks like there is only 6 skeins there. That won't be enough for the blanket.
