directional hat and scaerf bernat mosaics

Postby crocheter77 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 9:42 pm

has anyone worked this pattern i am completely lost. I knitted the left and right piece, but when i have to proceed to row one i don't know how to incorporate both pieces and then the first row starts over again. The directions seem so unusual. On the second row are both pieces being knitted all the way across the row? I had hoped to breeze through this pattern, but i am stuck. Thanks for any help I can get. crocheter 77

What pattern exactly are you working on? Could you link it here?

Bernat Mosaic Yarn

Postby Shandeh » Thu Jan 12, 2012 5:30 am

Let's talk about all the things we have created with Bernat's gorgeous "Mosaic" Yarn.

I used less than one skein in the "Psychedelic" colorway to make this cute tea cozy! :cloud9:

And I have 10 skeins in "Daydream" that I will use to knit a top. :inlove:

T;hankyou for replying, the one i am trying to work on was in a small booklet called Bernat Mosaic sweaters and accessories. It was a kit using Bernat mosaic yarn.

I made a baby blanket using the Daydream shade - for the BernatCares KAL/CAL last year. No particular pattern - i just made hexagons and seamed them wherever they looked best together. Motifs work great in Bernat Mosaic.

Thanks for the details. You will get expert help by contacting the Bernat design experts at inquire@bernat.com.

Be sure to tell them that you need help with a pattern found in that "Mosaic Sweaters and Accessories" book.

Neat Jen! You're a creative soul, just free-wheeling it with the motifs and seaming. :notworthy:

I just saw the new Bernat crochet pattern for a round baby blanket, using Mosaic. Pretty!

Once I get my shipment I’ll be making a couple of Girl’s Lace Pinafores for my two girls. (I’d link to the pattern, but I can’t find it when I do a search. Lucky I saved the PDF in iBooks) They each picked out their colours and they’re anxious for me to get started. :)

Bernat Mosaic fraying

Postby allmamaT » Thu Feb 02, 2012 6:07 pm

Hi there,

I have been knitting a sweater with Bernat Mosiac wool and I find that sewing with it, it frays and pulls apart. Does anyone have a suggestion on sewing the seams together without the wool coming apart.

Thanks

Bernat Mosaic is a loosely spun yarn, which makes it soft and cushy. You can twist it a few times before seaming with it, or you can use a different yarn that is spun tighter for your seams.
