I ordered my yarn on Jan 29, so hopeing i will get it before the start date. I am knitting and the colors i choose are main color black, tibetan red, Gypsy gold, turtle green, and blue gown. My husband is doing the crochet and the colors he picked are main Breath of blue, beautiful blue, blue gown, princess and celadon. This is our first kal/cal. Sounds like fun!

Just received my yarn!!
Breath of blue looks a little more grey/green than I remember. I almost thought It was aqua frost. I was going to start my gauge swatch right away, but I may wait for it to grow on me.

What is the recommended hook size for the gauge?

Just watching New Girl and they are having 'crochet time'!! Cool.

The pattern recommends a size H hook.

WOOOO HOOOO!! YARN!!

Postby Nevermore » Wed Feb 01, 2012 11:11 pm

:bravo: I am so very excited! My yarn ordered arrived today!! I chose colors that I think are going to play well together! I am hoping for a subtle color shift with these yarns for a project that will flow nicely rather than have stark color jumps (though I like that too). Come on Feb. 15th!! I am SOOOO ready to get this party started!!! :knit: :hellogoodbye:
Peace and Blessings

These are my color choices: Main color is sundrift, contrast a is willow, contrast b is bitter rose, contrast c is irish moss and contrast d is incense

To remember the order of the yarn. I took a majic marker and labeled the labels with a, b, c, d that way I can tell by looking at the label which color is which. My willow and irish moss is so close together in hue when I'm sitting in my living room I had to label them a and c.

I am totally going to have to do that. Knowing me I will get them mixed up while in the middle of this project... ;)

My yarn just arrived. The colors are Greek Sea, Aqua Frost, Birch White, Butter, and Colonial Beige. I'm doing the KAL. Greek Sea is color A, Colonial Beige is color E. For the colors B, C, and D, does it matter which order they are in? Will the order I have shown work okay or would you suggest a different order?

The picture really doesn't do the colors justice. The yarn is absolutely beautiful and so soft!
