Hi Nancy. I chose Antique for main colour, then Sundrift, Birch White and Breath of Blue for coordinating colours. after that I have Blue Gown for contrast. Wasn't too sure about that order so got another skein of Blue Gown to do swatch with - that way I have 3 skeins each of all other colours if I change my mind once I see them all together.

I took a photo of the bricks around my fireplace with the beige leather couch and now have to figure out how to post it. Photo is on my iPad and not on computer hard drive. My husband is telling me I should learn Flickr :reading: but I'm busy knitting! :knit: Maybe later today!

That Jessie yarn looks cool!

Bernat made a few videos for using it:

Thanks! I have watched the knot video and Will be doing one of those today.
Then will try the knit one.

I found another hank of Blue yesterday with slightly different shades, and some red! Have been taking photos on iPad2 but now have to figure out best way to post. (Thanks for reference again!) Don't have the browse folder since it's not connected to hard drive. Maybe hubby can help later - he's suggesting learning Flickr. :helpme:

Meanwhile I have made 4 squares since yestersay for another afghan project so that I can concentrate on this one in a couple of weeks.

Flickr is AWESOME!
I use it for EVERYTHING. Blogging, talking in forums, listing auctions, etc. I don't even keep photos on my computer anymore, because they are all on Flickr. As soon as I upload them, I take them off the computer.

Your first 200 photos are free, then you have to pay after that. Just $25 a year, so it's not bad.

Just give it a try. It will walk you through how to use it.

I use the Photobucket app to upload pics for forum use on my iPad. It is real easy to use and provides hyperlink text for copy/paste.

Hi Jillonne! :hellogoodbye: What colors are you going to make your afghan? I've been knitting for years as well, but I'm quite excited about doing this mystery knit along too! It's giving me something to look forward to and I like the idea of not knowing what the completed afghan will look like. :cloud9: This is going to be fun! I've never talked with people on a forum before either. But I've wanted to for quite some time. I just finished up knitting a child's blanket for charity today. I guess I'll start knitting a toddler's sweater tomorrow that I want to give to my daughter's friend who just had a baby girl. I'll make the sweater to fit her for next Fall and Winter. Are you knitting anything now or are you waiting for the 15th to get started on this afghan? :knit:

Hey knitters! I got my yarn in the post yesterday and am trying out posting a photo to show how it looks against my living room décor. Getting the gauge sorted on my swatch. Can hardly wait - it is soooooo soft to work with!

Oh my gosh - it worked! How does it look?
