When I get stuck on a stitch that I am not sure of, I search youtube!!! there are so many tutorials on there, and I don't know about you, but "seeing" the stitch done is easier for me than trying to figure out the directions.

Good Luck!! Kathie

Hi Kathy!

I'm still learning crochet myself, but will try to help a little.

You will be doing all that work inside the Chain 5 space.
First you'll do the single crochet, then you'll chain 2 stitches.
Next, you will do all those yarn-overs and drawing up loops in that same Chain 5 space, where you did the single crochet stitch earlier.

Does that help at all?

You'll get a quicker response and better help by sending a message to inquire@bernat.com. Bernat has a team of people to help with these issues, and they are awesome. They have helped me a lot!

Hi Kathy

Everything between the ( ) is worked into the same st, then you do the yoh and draw through all loops on your hook to close the cluster.

(Yoh and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times in next st. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – cluster made.

Hope this helps, good luck with your baby blanket.

I am actually having a problem with this pattern. It's just not the cluster part. Is the cluster worked in the very next st after the sc? And when it says sc in ch 5 space, does it mean the center of the ch-5 space? or the very last ch sp?

When it says to work in the ch 5 sp, you will not work into a stitch. You will work in the space below the 5 chains.
