Thank you joyousday and knittymama for you input on my color choices. I think I will go with the Butter instead of the Sundrift. I just needed to hear the opinions of others. I am looking forward to getting started on this "Mystery."

I think I have decided to do the Crocheted but I keep changing. Here are my colors: Sundrift, Turtle Green, Incense, Butter, Bark. I am attempting to add a picture below. Main color was originally Bark, but I switched to Sundrift with Bark as accent. This is lovely soft yarn and should make a nice finished blanket!

I have picked my colors but I'm still unsure. Help? My main color is Porcelan Red with contrasts of Bitter Rose,
Incense, Bark and Sun Drift. I am attaching a photo of my yarns with the furniture that will be in the room where I plan to use the afgan. Please let me know what you think. Thanks. I'm really looking forward to the journey we will be taking together. Sorry about the missing picture. I am told that it is to large to upload here.

Happy stitching to all.

You will find free photo resizing programs on the internet. They work great!

I think your colors work well together, since most of them are in the same color group (Beautiful Things).

... Math can be any sort of word you want .... sayeth a Math teacher

I was taught that maths [with a 's' at the end] is the correct form. Though it is somewhat regional [UK vs NA] in the end maths is more proper, even if it sounds wrong cuz no one else here uses it much!

My colour choices for two CAL:
Willow - MC
Sun Drift
Porcelain Red
Pink Suede
Bitter Rose
Waverly for Bernat first yarn choices.jpg

And:
Stone Brown - MC
Antique
Tibetan Red
Classic Navy
Gypsy Gold
Waverly for Bernat second yarn choices.jpg

I used my trusty Cricut and Hannah Montana alphabet to create vinyl stickers in two different colours that I put on each of the balls to help me keep the two themes organized. I cut out 5 MC, and then 2 each of A,B,C,D then repeated it in another colour of vinyl. I then stuck it on the fancy space below the yarn title (You can just make it out in a couple balls in my second photo). Now I won't have to work so darned hard to remember what colour I meant for what letter. And truth be told, other than the main colour I just grabbed 2 balls and stuck an alphabet letter on it then moved to the next one. I figured if I tried obsessing about what is what then I would go crazy and never get this started next week!

The thing about Waverly for Bernat that makes me sad is there are no purples! None. Pinks, reds, blues, but no purple. My family may be happy about this, since I tend to use purple in most everything I make. I never care about matching to my room. I pick colours that make me happy or that someone else loves. I could never imagine living in a home where there was a colour theme going on! lol Somehow it seems too sophisticated for this person.

I don't knit well, so will be working on 2 crochet versions.

I have a million questions I have not seen addressed at all. What colour will we be using to join it all together? Will we have enough or do we need to buy another ball for joining? Does it depend on our join method? What method will be recommended?

Just so you know, my camera phone did not pick the colour up well. The chair the yarn is on is hunter green and gold. You would never know it from the photo!
