Hello Everyone! I did the crochet along in 2010 and was very proud of what I accomplised. I learned new stitches and gained alot of experience! I orderd by yarn this time from Bernat and received it in just 5 days. I am going with Sundrift Main color, Pink Suede, Bitter Rose, Procelain Red and Irish Moss. Love, love the color combination! Can't wait till Feb. 15!!! Good luck everyone!

This is my first time in the CAL\KAL 'mystery' project, and I am very excited! My friend actually found this site and thanks to her, a group of us, three childhood-friends, are gonna do this together! Yay!! I actually went with one of them to choose our colours!! We chose different colours for each afghan. I chose for my CAL sea colours - blue, a bit of turquoise.. And for my KAL I chose warmer and darker colours - purple, red-wine shades... It all goes together really nicely, which makes me even more impatient! Haha!
Say, is there anywhere we can sign up for both, or do we have to go to each forum separately?

You will be able to easily follow both discussions if you subscribe to them at the bottom of the page. The clues will be released each week - with the CAL clues in the Crochet area, and the KAL clues in the Knitting area.

This is going to be soooo fun. I ve done CAL but never a MYSTERY CAL. Making mine shades of purple, green and white. A 80th birthday gift for my mother inlaw. so exciting!!!

I am so excited for the CAL - this will be my first time participating in something like this. I picked colors, but without knowing what the project will look like, or even what the pattern is, I am a little nervous... However, it will be so much fun to do a project along with so many other crafters from all over!!!

I'm new to this also..received my email that my yarn was shipped Friday, I copied crochetnut's colors...they
are so nice!! I'll be giving the blanket to my best friend for her new living room...COME ON WEDNESDAY!!!

My sister and I are going to do the CAL/KAL. I am doing the KAL and my sister is doing the CAL. We picked out our colors tonight. We are very excited to do this.

You are VERY lucky to have your sister to do the CAL/KAL with you! That will be very special! I've really wished I had someone to do it with too. But being able to talk with people on the Bernat forums helps! Did you pick out different colors than your sister? I noticed that you're from Indiana! So am I. Feb. 15th is almost here!! Can't wait!!!
