looking for a crocheted, hanging kitchen towel

I am looking for a pattern for a hanging kitchen towel. My grandmother used to make them by the hundreds when I was growing up but never had her show me how. My last one is pretty thread-bare now. It is made with a store-bought towel cut in half and a hanger is crocheted on the top. The hanger slips through a cabinet handle and is buttoned to keep it secure. I guess I should have paid more attention when I was younger!

I created this towel last year when I was in need of one. The pattern was written by me so it is a bit messy, I wrote it much the way I talk and I have no experience with writing patterns.

These are beautiful. I'll be making some of these after the CAL/KAL is over. It'll give me something to do for the last couple of months before we move into our new house. It'll be the perfect thing to give it a personal touch right away.

I've made the third one a couple times and it works up nicely!!! I've not tried the other 2 yet but I really like the open shell one.
