We'd talked about splitting them up, but the real surprise is in what the actual stitches look like, so we decided to just release them at once ;)

We also have a text-only version of the clue, which will work for anyone who has trouble with the colored pdf version:

It is not nearly as pretty though! Thank you for pointing that out.

Anyhow, first real question,
Will we end up with 12 squares in total for this?
9 made with our main colour and then 1 each of the next 3 colours?

this was my question this morning as well.

Yes, all of the blocks are solid colors for Clue 1.

Make 9 full blocks with MC. Make one full block with each of the other 3 colors.

Thank you soooooo much for the text only clue. I like to copy/paste it into a Word document, then increase the font size for the directions, and double space between the rows. That makes it much easier for old eyes to read and I don't tend to lose my place. Thanks again and happy crocheting!!!

Ah...cute motif...and the yarn is nice and soft to work with. :) This is fun knowing there are so many of us doing this project together but yet all unique!

The directions for motif #1 say it should measure about 4 1/2 ", but the blocking template is 7". Am I missing something?

How did you print the blocking template?
My template only measures about 4 and a quarter inch once printed

Just so I'm clear...there are still 5 colors but we are only using 4 on clue 1(mc,A,B,C)? I ask because the main info page for the CAL now has the main color listed as (C) not (MC) like when it was first announced back in Jan. Is this just a typo or did I buy the wrong amounts of yarn?

Morning, all!

First time CAL for me. I went ahead with the awesome Waverly colors, and just decided on Monday to actually do this CAL (ordered it online), so I have no yarn yet. I'm trying to be patient!

Can't wait to see everyone's first round! Have fun!!
