Pulled my yarn skeins out from the closet as soon as I read Clue 1. When I revisited my swatches it reminded me how absolutely lovely the Waverly yarn is. Ladies and Gents, if you think this yarn is soft from the skein wait till you wash and dry it. It is light, lofty and soft as cotton against your skin. Right now I'm dreaming of cuddling up in my beautiful afghan when it is complete! :cloud9:

I'm sure once it's been put together it'll make a cool design. Have faith!!!

When it says to keep tails about 12 inches long, does this mean all of the tails or just the first and last tails?

Wow! I am new to knitting and I see that this project will definitely help me improve my skills. Like another poster commented earlier, I have everything ready but I think it would be a good idea to label my colors! Double doh!!

Working from corner to corner is simply a different technique. What exactly are you having issues with?

Here's a YouTube video for how to knit, purl, knit into one stitch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pP_UHylNAMQ

Wow!! Thanks. :knit:

tanyastreasures wrote:I just finished my first square with the original instructions. Oops! It came out to be about 5.5" square. It came out very square though, which is maybe a first for me. I think I messed up the k p k in the first stitch though, but since it was the first row, it doesn't really show.

Are you sure you have the correct gauge and number of stitches/rows? It should be approximately 9.5" square.

All of them is the best idea - better to have more for seaming than less!

Guess I best go to the gym right after work so that I can spend my evening with my needles!
