All questions are important. Never be afraid to ask. We want you to feel at ease when working on your blanket.
Blocking is a way to make your crocheted or knitted pieces lay flat and look even. It makes it easier to join your pieces together when it's time to put the blanket together.
Some people block everything they knit or crochet.
I only block work that is for a garment. I usually don't block blanket pieces. But, that's just me.
Bernat has provided a blocking template for us to use if we want to block our pieces.
To block your work, just lay it out on the template, pin it in place, get it damp, and let it airdry flat. When it's completely dry, unpin it, and it should lay nice and flat.
