It's best to follow the pattern. The afghan is square motifs, so the design is largely made up by where the colors change. Don't worry, it's not as difficult as it may seem
At the end of the last row of the first color, cut the tail off around 12". Then just start knitting with the next shade, but make sure that also has a long tail for seaming later on. There's a video linked in the first post on this thread to give you a hand.
OK i will give it a go.. im not the one to balk at something different..well i am but..lol Ok next question.. in the vid that u provided concerning the color change.. i got most of it but when they put on the new color.. the new color tail was just sitting there,, they didnt knot it or anything...why didnt they knot it ??? If u dont knot it.. it all comes apart ??? Told ya i was a newbie..lol
