In the print menu that comes up in Chrome, click on the little link at the bottom that says "Print Using System Dialog". It will bring up your regular printer dialog box. If you click Preferences (usually), it will bring up the preference stuff for your printer. You can select page size, etc from there. For my printer at work there is a tab that has options for printing full size, etc. Make sure you have "full size" (or something similar selected) and not any type of scaling.

If that was the case I never would have made this post. I could not get my printer dialogue to come up the way you mention. I still could only find basic settings. We discovered it was due to chrome and nothing else. Chromes PDF reader is messed up for me and I cannot be alone in this.
Only my husbands FF would give him the proper page to set the scaling. The only thing different about our computers is the browser we chose to use. We bought them both at the same time from the same place.

Off to tie in tails then do me some blocking! Wonder if blocking will give them a more square look? We will know by tomorrow when everything is dry eh!

I hope my post didn't come off they way it might have sounded. :scared: I only meant it as an option to look. Obviously not all printers are the same and installations of Chrome and FF vary depending on what operating system you are using also. A PDF is supposed to make everything "good" for everyone, but it doesn't all the time. I work with PDFs at work every day and they can be a real pain sometimes. I've been known to try 3 or 4 different browsers to get something to work right (IE, FF, Chrome, and Safari).

My only other suggestion, is to perhaps save the PDF out of the browser (in my Chrome/XP installation you hover over the bottom right to get a popup icons). Then open in the regular Acrobat reader and maybe that will help with printing.

Not sure if I'm weaving in ends or not yet. Will probably have to since I didn't leave them long enough to use for seaming. I found if you put your fingers in the corners and stretch out some, it does begin to look like a cool square. Just makes me more excited.

I'm replying to my(flcracker) question. I went and searched bernat weaverly blocking templet and found the site. I first tried to print it, but there was NO templet/picture, so I had to copy it first, place it in a folder, then printing. thanks for any replies i had..

All of us have so many different kinds of printers and viewing programs.
I've always been amazed that computer programmers can design documents that can be viewed consistently by everyone.

But, of course, there is nothing perfect in the world.

Some of us will view the document, and print it without a problem.
Others will need to tweak their settings.

But, I'm glad we can read the measurements on the actual pattern. That sure helps.
It never hurts to double-check things!

Thank you, I did not see a video about the blocking and would not have done it. Is the video still up and where can I find it.

My printer didn't have an option to print actual size...so how big is this square supposed to be? I'll just draw one the right size...lol
Thanks

In the forums under Crochet-Along Clue 1, part way down it has Skills You'll Learn & Use. One of those skills is Blocking Motifs. The link for the youtube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HJ-79xJEX4.

Good luck!

The square for Clue #1 should be 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".
