Question about gauge

Postby MzMolly » Fri Feb 17, 2012 1:57 am

Sometimes I see gauge written as so many stitches and so many rows = 4"

.. but when I see gauge written as 18 stitches = 4" ... how many rows do I knit? :idonno:

For some patterns, there is no need for a row gauge, because they direct you to knit for a certain space of inches or centimeters.
