Just finished my 12 squares from CAL Clue #1. I'm very happy with myself. This is my first CAL and I'm really enjoying it. Now if I could only figure out how to make the picture I took of my squares fit on here. :cooldude:

Haven't figured out how to post a picture but my square looks like that too and if you block it, it will look more square like.

Try opening the picture in Paint (this should come preloaded on Windows). Click Image and choose Resize/Skew. For my pictures I reduced both vertical and horizontal to 50%. I did this 3 times and they fit. Hope this helps. Would love to see your color choices! :P

Make sure you resave the smaller image with a different name than the original just in case something doesn't work right. :)

Changed my mind about the colors after I finished, So i'll end up crocheting double the amount.
I didn't finish all 12 of my new color scheme yet, but I like taking pictures of these squares almost as much as I like making them:

Like a lot of posts I've read, I had to go up two hook sizes and I'm still not quite big enough. I think I'll leave it go as is. I guess I could try to relax my tension, but since I'm doing this to relieve some 'tension' in my life, I don't see that happening.

Loving some of the color choices in the pictures people are posting! I'm looking forward to getting more done tonight to see what my colors are going to look like "worked up".

I managed to purchase 6 colors instead of five and now I can't decide which five to use. The first pic is of all the colors. The light color in the top left corner is my MC. Any thoughts? Ideas? Shandeh, since you have some insider info, which do you think would work best?

Hi,

Not the expert, but I like the first set with the blue. :)

I'm so enjoying all the posts, the pictures, and tips in all the CAL forums. I'm still awaiting my yarn from Joanne's. Anyone know what is a realistic time frame for arrival? I ordered a couple days ago and got an email last night that it just shipped. I do have a tracking number so I'll be checking it often. ;)

I wanted to also say that you all are doing a fantastic job and I love the variety of colors everyone has chosen. This is so much fun, it's my 1st CAL, and I haven't even begun mine yet. Hee hee! Will have lots of catching up to do!

Laina :)

I actually had to go down 2 sizes to get gauge! I am using the F instead of the H (i think...) that was required! My tension must be super loose if everyone had to go up a couple hook sizes!

Anyone else go down in size?

I tried so hard to take my time with this but I really like working with this yarn. Plus I wanted to add my signature badge! Hope this picture works right. My colors are sun drift, aqua frost, greek sea, bitter rose and incense.
