Just finished my first of the eight squares for this week. I had three meetings yesterday, so was not able to get started until today. I admit I am not using Waverly, since I could not find the colors I wanted in Waverly. I am an experienced knitter, and I have made several items that were KALs, but never at the time the KAL was going on, so this is really my first KAL where I can post my progress in the forums.

Shandeh, I bought lots of extra yarn, because I want to make my afghan larger than the 45x59. How many squares will be given in the eight clues, and how many squares will actually be knit from those clues? From your post that other clues will not require as much knitting as clue 1 does, I believe there are fewer squares knit in future clues.

Well, since it's a mystery, I CANNOT TELL.
Sorry! :?

Also, I really don't know what Bernat is going to do. Sometimes the plans change as we go along, and I am as surprised as everyone else! I only have a general idea of what the blanket will be. :)

I'm not sure but I think it is written one of eight. Otherwise she must be a very fast knitter. :notworthy: My square took at least 2 hours to make, done 4 so far and my hands were on fire ;)

Lilab, you ar right. I now have 2.5 squares done. Hope to have the first color combination (4 squares) done by Monday. I doubt I get all 8 done before Clue 2 comes up. I will stop on Clue 1, and work Clue 2 starting Wednesday. I will go back to Clue 1 when I have finished other clues as they come.

I don't think this is a problem, I guess the pace will slow down as the weeks go by and we will have plenty of time to catch up :cooldude:
