Which blanket are you making?

I was only doing the CAL, but decided last night to do the KAL as well. Hopefully I can keep up with the KAL.

I'm starting with the crocheted blanket first, but I'm going ahead and printing out all the information for the knitted one so I can do it too after I finish with this one. I didn't want the clues to disappear before I had them saved for later. Most of the things I've made over the years have been for gifts so I this time, I'm making the blanket for my newly redecorated bedroom. The Town and Country collection was absolutely perfect with the wall color and the comforter. I did make a change from the suggested colors though because I didn't want the gypsy gold color in there. I substituted Navy instead. My walls are very close in color to the Cadet Blue with one accent wall of Navy. My comforter is a lighter shade of that with Stone Brown piping and accents. The sheets are just a little lighter than the Antique yarn and the Tibetan Red will add an unexpected new pop of color into the room.

Just picked up the yarn to do that KAL too! I'm really looking forward to doing both. Now to finish up my last square for the CAL so I can do a quick gauge check and get start on the KAL!

Will be making the Crochet afghan, and will try to do the Knitting afghan.

It may be done on a longer timeframe, but looks like fun to learn and try to make patterns that I normally wouldn't try. I'll be going through my stash for yarn and will see how they turn out!

Hi everyone from Salisbury, England.

I am doing both blankets, to tone in with the colours I have decorated my living room in. I have chosen cream as a main shade with shades of brown and a teal green accent.
This is the first time I have done a crochet/knit along and am really enjoying the challenge. I have completed the crochet squares and some of the knitted ones. Looking forward to wed for the next clue.

After finishing all the CAL squares for the first week by bedtime Wednesday night, I decided I should have planned on making both blankets. So I ordered the yarn for the KAL and am waiting for it to arrive. I know I'll be a week behind with the knitted one, but I work really well when under pressure. Oh, I forgot to mention that I have now found enough yarn in my stash to start another CAL using different colors... and finished the first weeks squares for that one also. I must have too much time on my hands...

I am making both afghans in two different pallets. My yarn just arrived today so I am way, way behind all ready. I have made many afghans as gifts but this will be the first time that I have made some for myself. This is also the first time I have done a mystery project. I hope I chose my colors well.
