The CAL and KAL projects are totally different. The only thing in common is the structure of the event. Both will be hosted simultaneously here on the forums.

I knit and crochet - I can't decide which one to do. I might end up doing both. I am so excited to have a Mystery KAL or CAL to do again. It has given me the boost I needed to finish a few UFO's hanging out in my project basket before Feb 15th. Be back then for the first clues!

I had the same thought...that I might do both...in different colors!

I have decided to do both! I have enough left from last years CAL for the KAL, and will do the CAL in the new Waverly yarn. I went on the "my palette" that helps you pick colors, it was really helpful.

I was planning on doing the KAL and was 'thinking' of doing the CAL as well but couldn't decide on my second color scheme. But now that I've read that the CAL and the KAL are completely different projects, I know I HAVE to do both!

Still that color scheme thing to work out tho....

I had a hard time choosing colors too, because my house uses ALL the color palettes!
And, it's really hard to define my personality. I don't fit into any of the themes precisely.

So, I am making the crochet blanket with all the pale shades of Waverly.

And I let my sister choose the colors for the knit blanket.

I would love to make both! I couldn't decide which to do either but I settled on the knit one because I have never done an entire knit afghan. I have several crocheted ones already so this is a good chance to do something new.

You're so lucky to have several crocheted blankets! Did you make them all?

These will be my first handmade blankets for myself. All the other blankets I've made so far have been for charity.
