I been sitting here waiting for a reply before ripping out or going forward with a second square. I have not even bound this one off yet, which is why I have the marker sitting on it.

It's funny, during my gauge test square I needed one hook up to make it, this one fit the template perfect using hook 5. I had planned on making it several times to get the right size, but only did it once so far - unless this is wrong ...

Does anyone else use the magic circle technique?

I got mine finished. I took a picture of them drying from blocking; still pinned. I used my ironing board as my "mat" :)

Image

I'm using Waverly yarns; Bark for my main color
A= Porcelin Red
B= Bitter Rose
C= Willow
D = Sundrift

I want my base darker and my big contrast light. So far the colors look really nice together. But...

What to do now to wait for the second clue.... *sigh* :idonno:

Suzi66 wrote:So I'm asking for input please. The CAL afghan is going to be for my sister who is quite feminine but who does live in a house that is male dominated. Her home has cream walls, calico curtains, sandy wood floors and dark wood furniture. The lounge is chocolate leather. The main colour of the afghan is fawn, so the two motifs that are the same colour in the photo are fawn. The other colours I've chosen are chocolate, cream, caramel and a raspberry for the pop but I really love the raspberry and have lots of it and I know my sister and her daughter would too.

What does everyone else think?

Beautiful colors. :thumbsup:

oh my gosh, thank you so much for the directions for reducing picture size, so easy! now I'll be able to add a picture to my name for my profile :bravo:

(shandeh resized photo, to remove white space around photo)
Your photo was smaller, but the size of your document was still very large. The white space around your photo makes the image stay just as large as it was before. Be sure to draw in the edges of the document, so it frames the image correctly, instead of leaving all the white space still there. It will be easier for you to resize your photo if you use the photo resizers online. http://www.picresize.com/ OR http://www.photosize.com/

Those free programs will remove all the white space as well.
