Knit-Along Clue 1: Spoilers and Photos

I too did a gauge prior to starting and was dead on with my swatch. However, my squares are 9" x 9". I'm going continue with it because I am knitting consistent and maybe I'll have enough yarn left over to make a matching pillow or two!

I am halfway through my second square! My first one is the most perfect thing I knit! And it's exactly 9.5x9.5 yay!

Yay! Isn't it great when things make sense? From now on, you'll always know how to figure out right side/wrong side, and how to do your color changes.

I am sure off to a slow start !I only have one sq done...

I can relate to that! My Friday to Sunday knitting marathon has turned into me becoming a soft armchair in front of a roaring fire... After having grocery shopped and cooked supper...... I believe you can see a tiny bit of my third square in its infancy. It will be a miracle if I get any further tonight!

Hurray! I finally finished my first square. I'm an extreme beginner so I'm quite proud. It isn't perfect, but I'm still really happy.

finally finished 2 squares!
i'm sure it's not just me, but i'm completely doubting my color choices now. i know it's hard to know what it will look like in the end, but i'm not crazy about these color combos at the moment. i'm really just hoping that it will come together as we work through the rest of the clues. *fingers crossed*

Here's my start on Clue 1. I'm using a locking stitch marker to show the side where my increases/decreases will take place.

I am using a different colored needle for the decrease/increase side of block.
Not so confusing ---when I am on the navy needle I know to increase or decrease.
If I am using the baby blue-- I KNIT.

Mine are 10X10 since I had to have two sets of needles to change colors for decreasing & Increasing row-- I had 2 sets in a size 8

Incase U haven't read my other response... I use one color to inc./dec & 1 to Knit---helps me remember what row i am on

Just finished all the squares for clue #1. Here is a pic showing my colours. Can't wait to add more colours and see what they all look like when knit together. Bring on clue #2!
