stepping waves afghan

Postby needlenut » Sun Feb 12, 2012 6:47 pm

I have just started the Stepping Waves Afghan this weekend. I found Waverly for Bernat yarn on clearance at Michael's last weekend for 2.49 per skein. I am using Greek Sea, Aqua Frost, and Birch White for my 3 colors. The pattern called for size 8 needles, but I had to use size 4 needles to make the gauge. I have never tried anything this big before with such tiny needles.I know it will take a lot of time. I only have 2 inches done so far - with 60 more inches to go. May take 6 months, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.

I want to try the stepping waves afghan after I finish the KAL. The afghan looks gorgeous and I can wait to get started. Hope your knitting goes well!

Interesting!
Wanted to try something wavy, but crocheting.

Pls post another picture, after you progress a bit. Curious to see what stepping waves are like.

I resized your photo, so we could see it correctly.

Be sure to resize your photos in the future, or we will only see the top left corner of your photo.
You'll find several free photo resizing programs on the internet. They work great!
