What are YOU working on to pass the time?

Talk about the KAL/CAL in a general sense. Knitters and crocheters, get to know one another while discussing your choices of Bernat Waverly shades!

I feel the exact same way about the KAL squares right now! I hope the next couple of KAL clues go faster so I can catch up on the squares from this clue.

I have started, frogged, and re-started the KAL like 3 times so far... I think I finally have the increases figured out so now I just need to do it in the color choices I will actually use.

I am still making hats & scarves for friends now with shamrocks on them for parades & parties in Chicagoland

Working on a baby blanket for a co-worker (using non-traditional colors like gray, black, and maroon)

Finishing a cowl now for a friend as well ... busy hands!! I love it :cloud9:

I am finishing a hearts and diamond afghan and working on one of my stashed projects, my first toe up socks. Have made many toe up since started the orig one from a class, but could not get a handle on it in class, so learned on my own as I have done with both crochet and knitting. Taxes sound like a good idea - must make time for them also; more fun knitting or chrocheting (is that a word?). Waiting for Wed......

I love seeing what everyone is working on. Thought I would post the almost finished afghan from the square I posted earlier. Took me working on it off and on all weekend, but I got all 63 squares pieced together and now am working on the border. The pattern calls for only two of the colors in the border, but I have enough yarn of each left to add all four colors to the border.

On my spare time I am trying to learn how to knit socks using DPN - with very little success, so far.

What I'm SUPPOSED to do is math, as is is exam season again. I should really barely have the time for CAL and nothing more. But I can't seem to concentrate on any problem for more then three minutes before my mind drifts off to little crochet squares and dreams of Wednesday, or beautiful free patters on ravelry that I have yet to try, or...
Any tips? How do you people manage to get any non-yarn related work done at a time like this?

I work in blocks of times on other things. I work about 22 minutes at a time on something I need to do and then give myself 8 minutes to work on projects I want to be doing. Once I get everything else finished I can work on whatever I want, but working in 22 minute blocks at a time makes sure that housework, my kids school (home schooled), and anything else I have on that days list that I need to do gets finished before my husband gets home.

Neya- that's great your tring to learn to knit socks. Im a knitter tring to improve my crocheting. When I was learning to knit socks videos helped me a lot. Have you ever tried going on youtube.com? They have good videos for learning to knitting socks.

Tiffanna- that's cool you homeschool your kids! My mom homeschooled my two brothers and I, K-12.

I am working on two CAL's. I did mine so quickly and after showing my daughter the squares, she asked if I could make her one using scraps of yarn we already have, so I am working on two at a time.

Also, I crochet baby blankets for a local children's hospital, so I have a couple of those going that are almost finished (I take those with me in the car and crochet while my hubby drives).

Finally, I am working on a counted cross stitch Last Supper picture. I made one years ago for my mother-in-law and wanted to make me one but I needed a break from in - ten years has gone by and hundreds of projects are completed and I have decided to make my own. Hopefully, I will have it done by Christmas :)

I am also thinking of doing the previous CAL to give to my mother for Mother's Day - Just have to pick the colors :)
