I found that to get it to look right I did the first three rows and then gently tugged on the tail to get it to look square.

I've started with some scrap yarn, and I'm planning on stopping at Michael's tonight to pick up my good yarn, and a correct size of new needles. I'm motivated! My sample actually looks sorta like it's supposed to.

Have finished 2 knitted baby afghans but were mostly knit and purl stitches no increases/decreases so am already being challenged in week 1.
Have finished 1.5 squares already and hope to have 4 done by the time the next clue is released but still not sure I haven't bitten off more than I can chew

The purl stitch is killing me so my question is this....what happens if my needle is behind the one holding my stitches when I do the purl stitch? I put it in from the right but it goes behind the needle instead of in front I just can't seem to make the stitch any other way and I have no reference point to know if it looks right...thanks much
