the dimensions are listed on the pattern sheet as 9.5" x 9.5" square.

Would it be possible to post the dimensions of the blocking template - i.e. the one I printed is 4 3/4 inches square (so when you put the 4 templates together it will measure 9.5 x 9.5). Is that correct? Thank you!

The measurement for KAL Clue #1 is 9 1/2" square. The diagram on the printer page is just for the motif.

I don't understand how to use this template. My first 1/2 of the square is bigger than the template. I am using size 8 needles and a thin yarn, BUT the finished 1st color is almost 8 inches long.

The template is 1/4 of the block, and it says to print 4 times and tape together, hope this helps.

The template should be printed 4 times (make sure your printer settings are to print "actual size")
After printing all 4 of the templates, you will cut them out, tape them together, and should have a square that measures 9 1/2" x 9 1/2".

I have never blocked before. I don't know what I am supposed to do with the template. While reading some of the post, I noticed that one knitter has blocked her squares. How do you block? And, if you change the shape and then wash it, will it go back to its original shape?
