Do I need to redo my first square? It isn't a perfect square and I'm concerned it will cause problems for the entire afghan. :rainy:

I apologize for the gigantic picture; I don't know how to make it smaller.

It looks close enough to me. Try blocking it to see if that helps.

THANKS everyone for all the hints, I do appreciate the help :helpme: !

Tension is a problem with my knitting and one reason I have never kept at it. It has gotten better at least now my stitches aren't so tight i can't get them off the needles.

I agree that i missed decreases on my first attempt but the 2nd one I counted the number of stitches after every decrease row and had the right number for that row. I wrote out a list with how many each row should have and kept track of each row I worked, takes a bit longer but at least it kept me on track. So it is probably my tension that made that side different. It took me 4+ hours to knit the green side and 3+ to knit the purple side both times so it is going to take some time to finish all the squares.

I'm getting ready to start a second square as I feel much better today and think I can stay awake longer than 30 minutes to knit some today, Yesterday I just couldn't stay awake with this stupid cold I have.
