Crochet-Along Clue 1

I think there is 1 clue every week. On this one it's every Wednesday. This is my first mystery blanket too!:) I can't wait for the next clue!!!

A babette blanket is made up of a whole bunch of various sizes of granny squares. Here is a link to the babette blanket on ravelry.

If you are not familar with ravelry, you have to sign up, but there is no charge. Many patterns are available on ravelry - some free, some not free (Babette blanket is not free). If you click on the projects tab on the above link, you can see a large number of these blankets that people have made in a variety of colors.

Oh my gosh, I am working so hard to pace myself so that I don't finish everything before the next clue. Though I suppose, at worst, I just get multiple projects going... right?!

I'm doing 2 CAL and a babette for my soon to be adopted nephew. I have lots of time to crochet so having 3 going shouldn't be a problem.

You also don't have to use as many colors as they suggest. I have 12 so I reworked the color tables for all the blocks, it only took a few minutes to do that. If you use a worsted weight yarn you'll get a bigger afghan since the pattern uses a thinner yarn.

Finished all 12 squares, but still have to block them. Can't WAIT to get clue # 2 tomorrow. Just hope that work isn't as stressful as last week, since I JUST finished my last 2 squares last night!

Clue #2 will be released on Wednesday, February 22nd at 10:00 AM, Eastern Standard Time.

A new clue will be posted every Wednesday at the same time...until April.

Still waiting for my yarn. I ordered it from Bernat. I will really have to work hard and fast to catch up since tomorrow Clue 2 will be posted. I keep telling myself I can do this, I can do this.
